Hot Air Balloon

This image comes from my fascination with flight, and the middle passage we all go through in life to reach clearer skies. The balloon signifies the moment when you feel physically and mentally weightless from all earthly responsibilities. The original work is watercolor on heavy weight paper. We scanned, digitized, and then digitally printed it onto handmade cotton paper from India to give it a rustic and timeless appeal.
